Boxpark in Shoreditch, East London is “the world’s first pop-up mall.” 
“it’s a small mall, comprising more than 40 retailers, cafes, restaurants and galleries, housed compactly within a stack of shipping containers on a formally vacant lot.”
 The container mall saves costs and waste by being assembled on-site, and when disassembled, it can be recycled into future Boxparks. It an instant transformation to the empty 500,000 square-foot site at the base of a rail station and there is no parking on site, except bike parking.  It only takes a few weeks to construct and once dismantled will leave the site unscathed.
